Job Description

Review NCAA Eligibility Center and IRL for all incoming freshmen student-athletes. Coordinate outstanding items with coaches and develop beginning of the season rosters.

Coordinate declarations of playing season from coaches and set up sports segments in ARMS software.

Monitor ARMS workflows for roster changes. Add and remove Athletic Aid adjustments.

Monitor weekly CARA logs for timely submissions.

Assist the Compliance Director with eligibility checklist preparation.

Monitor the NCAA Transfer Portal, complete all tracers and matriculates successful transfers.

Monitor the coaches’ completion of NCAA curriculum.

Prepare hardship/PTD/IEW waiver packets for approval by Compliance Director.

Assist Compliance Director with preparation of Game Plan Education Modules.

Design and lead compliance education presentations for AU coaches and student-athletes.

Attend department Athletics Compliance Committee meetings.

Attend weekly Athletic Department Executive Staff meetings.

Attend annual GMAC compliance seminars and NCAA compliance workshops and conventions.

Work with the Assistant Athletic Director/SWA in oversight of Ashland University’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). In this role, will assist in supervising SAAC events and help design programming. Will attend SAAC chapter meetings.

Will work with the Assistant Athletic Director/SWA in designing programming for student-athletes in a number of areas, including leadership, life after college athletics, life as a college student-athlete and in preparing for entry into the job market.

Will assist Athletic Administration on selected occasions in game day activities and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required

Ability to multi-task is required

Candidates should be highly organized and own analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to present information and explain procedures, policies and rules in small group settings and in one-on-one meetings is required

Experience working with college-aged students is highly desired

This position entails some evening and weekend work. This job requires occasional travel and overnight trips, particularly to seminars, clinics and conferences

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with college athletics and athletics is preferred

Physical Demands

This position reports to the Director of Athletics and works closely with the three assistant athletic directors, coaches, student-athletes

This role routinely uses standard office equipment and various forms of Athletics software
