The Benoit Group, a vertically integrated firm specializing in real estate development, seeks a highly skilled Sr. Development Analyst to join our Finance Division. Our firm is dedicated to creating sustainable and affordable housing solutions for low-to-moderate-income earners through projects that include mixed-income affordable communities, independent senior living, student housing, and multifamily developments across the Southeast and Midwest.

Position Overview:

As the Sr. Development Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial analysis, underwriting, and structuring of real estate projects. You will work closely with the development team to manage complex financing strategies, including tax credits, bonds, grants, and private equity, while ensuring the financial feasibility and success of our projects. Your expertise will help drive The Benoit Group's mission of community transformation and economic growth in transitional market segments.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed financial modeling and analysis for real estate development projects, including cash flow projections, proformas, and feasibility assessments.

Collaborate with the development team to structure complex financing solutions such as tax credits, bonds, grants, and private equity to ensure project viability.

Assist in preparing investment packages, presentations, and reports for stakeholders, including municipal, state, and federal agencies, as well as private investors.

Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring financial performance aligns with company goals and regulatory requirements.

Support the acquisition and financing processes, including due diligence, market analysis, and risk assessment.

Evaluate project performance and provide recommendations for maximizing returns while meeting the social and economic goals of each development.

Stay current with industry trends, financing tools, and market conditions to ensure The Benoit Group remains at the forefront of real estate development innovation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, accounting, or a related field (Advanced degree or certifications such as CFA or CPA preferred).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate finance, development analysis, or underwriting, particularly with affordable housing or mixed-use developments.

Strong financial modeling skills, with experience in structuring complex financing arrangements, including tax credits, bonds, and grants.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in financial analysis software (e.g., Excel, ARGUS) and the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of municipal and federal real estate financing programs and regulations is a plus.
