Job Summary

The

Market Development Manager - Flame Retardants

will play a strategic role in expanding Avient's footprint in existing and new markets. This position is responsible for identifying new market opportunities for the Avient flame retardant product portfolio and expanding the company's reach. The Market Development Manager will directly report to the Business Manager - Flame Retardants.

Essential Functions

Uncover and evaluate the most promising markets for three exciting next-generation FR technologies.

Through extensive interaction with potential customers and market participants, build roll-out strategy for commercial launch of new technologies.

Develop a deep understanding of customer and regulatory requirements that will drive R&D activities to meet customer needs.

Drive competitive positioning of new products vis-a-vis existing products in the market.

Lead promotional efforts within the region, including product launch packages, industry trade shows, marketing literature, website content, and social media presence.

Lead initiatives and programs to promote the company's products and services. Track emerging trends and adapt strategies accordingly. Define customer needs and participate in strategic planning.

Identify, cultivate, and manage prospect relationships. Develop relationships and business development plans.

Ensure alignment of market development strategies with overall business goals.

Key contributor to strategic and annual plan.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or other relevant area.

5+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or other relevant area; strong preference given to candidates with prior experience within the material science industry. Experience in the flame retardance market is highly beneficial.

Excellent presentation, negotiation, organization, leadership, and communication skills.
