The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Program/Project Coordinator - Airline Resource Management.

The Aviation Department, which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport, is seeking qualified applicants for the Program/Project Coordinator position for the Resources Management area of the Airlines section. The position involves technical and complex implementation of project and program expertise related to Resource Management. This includes airport Common Use Systems, Resource Management Systems (RMS), and market intelligence data software (Flight Global-Diio Mi). Responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and county rules, regulations, and procedures. Supervision is received through conferences with the section manager and adherence to established policies and procedures. Liaison with Broward County Aviation Department Managers, airline station managers, ground handlers, ramp control, and others as required.Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsRequires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, public administration, aviation management, or a closely related field.(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)

Requires two (2) years of experience in a staff or administrative capacity managing special projects, programs, or business operations appropriate to Resource Management or closely related experience.

Special Certifications and Licenses Required

Possess and maintain a Florida E Class Driver's License with the authority to drive a county vehicle for the duration of the appointment.Must be able to obtain/maintain Airport security & customs badging.

Per the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 1542, all airport employees must undergo a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a Security Threat Assessment (STA) in order to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.Investigate and conduct studies to determine future passenger demand and subsequent facility requirements of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).Compile schedules and usage information from a variety of sources and input them into Resource Management System (RMS) 72 hours before the day of operation. Data is entered or uploaded with knowledge and understanding of each airline's unique set of billing and usage rules.Assist with troubleshooting RMS functionality issues.Liaison with the Finance Division to ensure accurate billing is submitted by the air carriers/ground handlers monthly.Prepare customized monthly reports on airline flight activity and passenger throughput to FLL stakeholders.Attend meetings, conferences, seminars, and training as required.Assist with the seasonal flight schedules. Use scheduling tools (Flight Global-Diio Mi, and RMS) to optimize the use of BCAD's facilities while maintaining acceptable levels of passenger traffic throughput.Assist BCAD's Maintenance and Operations sections to establish reasonable preventative maintenance timelines for resources that will have minimal effect on airline operations.Assist with creating and maintaining a dashboard of airport performance (operation growth, passenger growth, load factors, turns per gate, baggage throughput, and TSA throughput).Perform weekly facility audits to ensure resources are being used efficiently.Perform other duties as assigned.
