Within this role, you will be tasked with identifying and recommending strategic opportunities for transportation. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Americas Operations and Global Supply Chain teams to manage the middle and last mile carrier portfolio, drive expansion, and lead continuous improvement initiatives as we scale our North American business.Your missionCollaborate with Ecommerce and Wholesale business counterparts to identify customer expectations and build solutions roadmaps.Deliver On’s transportation cost and quality goals through the procurement of freight and last mile transportation service partners.Partner closely with regional, global and respective finance teams to develop a carrier portfolio based on demand coverage, middle mile connectivity, time in transit, and end-to-end costs.Ensure customer and merchant-facing SLAs match the obligations of its transportation service providers.Research and develop key distribution strategies to manage logistics cost and performance.Partner with Logistics team members to manage carrier quality and execution.Maintain open communication with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.Own carrier-facing governance mechanisms including daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and business reviews.Own carrier compliance/sourcing risk management on behalf of On.Other duties/responsibilities as necessary.Your story5+ years of experience in transportation management, carrier management and/or logistics project management.5+ years negotiating with third party service providers.5+ years of experience in extracting data, analyzing results, and developing recommendations to senior leadership.5+ years of experience working with various cross functional teams locally and globally.Project management experience in the development, implementation, and management of various size projects.Familiarity with DDP, DDU, Section 321 and other cross-border/international shipments and other complex international shipping flows.Meet the teamAs the Americas Logistics team, we ensure a continuous flow of quality products and information that reach the right place and people in the most efficient and timely manner.
