This position is with CYS Middle School/Teen Programs at Fort Greely, Alaska. Incumbent is entitled to 3.21% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). This is a Regular Part-Time position with a minimum work week of 20 hours. Eligible for leave accrual and benefits.Responsibilities:Supervises a minimum of 8 ratios of children 0 - 5 in a Child Development Center or 6 ratios of children/youth in a School-Age Program or Youth Center.Works in-ratio 50% of the time providing breaks for assigned staff, modeling appropriate behavior, and providing program oversight during all hours of operation.Assists Director with recruitment requests utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions.Supervises and evaluates employees based on established performance standards.Ensures timely submission of personnel actions.Prepares work schedules to meet ratio and group size requirements.Monitors and analyzes adult/participant ratio sheets to ensure proper staffing.Ensures children/youth are appropriately supervised at all times.Acts as Director in Director's absence up to 20% of the time.May work in additional CYS facilities for management oversight for evening or weekend openings.Requirements:Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in fields appropriate to the position.A combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to the position.Experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs.Experience managing a classroom setting within child and youth programs.Experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum.Demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, or conducting meetings with parents and/or staff.Education:

Proof of education is required at the time of application. Education must be directly related to the position to be filled. General Education courses do not count toward the credit total. Transcripts must be in English, legible, and reflect the name of the school and applicant.Area of Consideration:

This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay and night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Additional referrals may be made from this vacancy announcement for up to 90 days after the closing date.
