Inventory Control Team Lead
to join our growing team. The Inventory Control Team Lead will facilitate smooth and seamless operations, and oversee warehouse performance, efficiencies, safety, strategic planning, and projects. They will be responsible for developing a strong team to ensure optimization of people and technology to deliver quality services to our clients and customers.
A successful candidate has the ability to inspire a shared vision and motivate a team. They will have the demonstrated ability to build professional rapport, effectively lead a team and positively influence diverse groups of people. The candidate must have the proven ability to apply sound business judgment to establish and accomplish goals, and navigate ambiguity, working in an entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage and lead effective and cohesive inventory teams across multiple brands
Lead, develop, and motivate direct reports ensuring continuous improvement through regular team sessions
Assist in the modification and development of the company’s inventory management system, to improve upon and add functionality required for more efficient and accurate operations
Plan, manage, and deliver stock-taking activities including PI, stock adjustments, and cycle counting
Review all Cycle Count results and implement corrective actions/best practices
Research inventory discrepancies and root cause analysis for adjustments, archiving relevant records
Ensure adequate control and review protocols for all stock movements
Assist management in the development and implementation of system enhancements
Partner closely with Floor Operations team (Inbound, Outbound, Returns) to ensure that established SOPs are followed
Support team member engagement within all areas of responsibility to enable the application of policies, procedures, and compliance
Review all stock adjustments to ensure that they are timely submitted and approved by the applicable stakeholders
Develop reporting capabilities to ensure stock movements are timely reviewed, received, and controlled
Review and audit merchandise transfers
Ensure stock adjustments are reflected timely and accurately through their processing in WMS
Follow up and review the implementation of adequate procedures and controls for returns and merchandise movements
Performs other duties as assigned
Safety:
Ensure work areas are safe to operate in
Daily safety walks, callouts, and observations
Coach on poor safety behaviors and encouraging good safety practices
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas
Comply with all OSHA and warehouse safety rules and guidelines
People Management:
Communicate and engage with teammates, supervisors, and managers daily
Training, coaching and mentoring associates
Maintain daily attendance of associates, including timeclock adherence
Ensure associate compliance with all company rules, policies and guidelines
Escalating complex issues and interpersonal conflicts to supervisors and managers
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Operations or related field preferred
1-2 years of warehousing experience including, but not limited to, retail distribution, logistics, warehouse operations and transportation management
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time critical issues
Ability to drive continuous improvement, provide accurate reporting, and utilize data
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated understanding of warehouse management systems
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Proficient in Excel
Bilingual Spanish a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to push, pull, lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop for extended periods of time
