Geotechnical/Waterfront Assistant Project Manager
FR Engineering Group is a geotechnical and waterfront engineering company based out of Warwick, Rhode Island that is continuing to grow. We are searching for a Geotechnical/Waterfront Engineer with 6 to 9 years of experience to fill the role of Assistant Project Manager. Candidates must be interested in both geotechnical and waterfront engineering. Compensation will be based on relevant past experience.
Work will mainly entail:
Conducting subsurface investigations
Preparing geotechnical reports
Managing staff during construction observation
Preparing proposals
Design and analysis of geotechnical and waterfront structures (retaining walls, sea walls, bulkheads, deep foundations, shallow foundations, revetments, tiebacks, slope stability, etc.)
Preparing design drawings and specifications
Inspection of existing structures (waterfront structures, buildings, bridges, dams, etc.)
Mentoring junior staff
Requirements for candidates include:
BS Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (MS preferred)
Passed the FE Exam and is planning to obtain PE license in the near future
Excellent writing and communication skills
Proficient in Lpile, Apile, Group, SupportIT, Snail Plus, Slope/W, MathCAD, AutoCAD
Well organized
Valid driver’s license
