Position Purpose

Seeking world-class talent to join the world’s leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Specifically, this role will function as the Product Owner of a team, to build the next generation Inventory Platform at GPC. Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to build and run one of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations.

The Associate Product Manager is responsible for assessing business needs and working with cross-functional product teams to find the fastest way to achieve value around those needs. The role focuses on delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through the production of quality products. Within their designated enterprise product line, Product Owners work closely with teams of developers, designers, and business partners.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Develop deep knowledge of business processes for the domainDocument requirements (functional and non-functional) via epics and user storiesDrive prioritization of epics and user storiesAssist Product Manager in driving collaboration and cross-domain prioritization and sequencing of activitiesManage stakeholder expectations to ensure scoping, backlog and delivery aligns with product strategyTrack KPIs to measure relevant business goals for the domainRepresent business throughout technology development processTrack releases and communicate delivery roadmapWork with agile practitioners and engineering to improve the overall delivery lifecyclePlan and conduct user showcases and acceptance testingWork with agile practitioners to improve the overall delivery lifecycleOther duties as assigned

Location:GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work remotely

Desired Qualifications & ExperiencesDegree in Computer Science or Engineering fields2+ years’ experience in scrum/agile development methodology.2+ years’ experience participating in product backlog prioritization and grooming/refinement2+ years of product ownership and helping drive road-mapping, planning and delivery in an agile environment.2+ years’ experience designing processes and solutions for an omni channel Wholesale/Retail Organization is a plus.Demonstrated experience with analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to use data to break down complex problems and formulate plans.Experience supporting, mentoring and managing product owners is a plusExperience in the B2B and retail business is a plusExcellent oral and written communicationAnalytical and problem-solving skills
