DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Ground System R&D Project Manager to join the Space and Intelligence Business Group in our Chantilly, VA office. This group provides specialized engineering, analysis, and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The Ground System R&D Project Manager assists the customer with systems engineering and program oversight of International R&D engagements that enable successful software development, demonstration, integration, and accelerated transition of capability derived from the program into appropriate US and international enterprise level architecture. The Ground System R&D Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing a staff of senior systems administrators managing a customer network that includes all components of a mature operational network including network infrastructure, Windows and Linux servers, storage, VTC Network, and cloud environments. The Ground System R&D Project Manager will assist with budget and contract forecasts, and facilitating international funding transfers.The Ground System R&D Project Manager coordinates with the customer to develop IT service requirements and solutions and will be the SME for the customer to interface between the customer’s networked international IT partners and US Government enterprise. The Ground System R&D Project Manager is the chair of an international working group of FVEY IT leads who collaborate on common mission solutions and represents the working group to senior government staff. The lead must form trusted relationships with FVEY IT leads charged with implementing the strategic vision.QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearance with PolyMust have a bachelor’s degree with 14+ years relevant work experience or 12 years with master’s degreeProgram management experienceWork with government technical and contract staff to design, acquire, install, test, and manage a network supporting international research and development partnersOversee the administration of Windows servers, teleconferencing solution, and telephone servicesWork with government technical and contract staff to implement advanced network solutionsDraft security documentation supporting the accreditation of the network and serversDesired Qualifications:Work with technical staff to capture technical and network requirementsDraft common acquisition artifacts such as statement of work, CDRLs, In Scope Determination, and proposal evaluation criteriaSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
