The Operations Project Manager 1 is responsible for the application and design of Power Generation Products to meet customer specifications. Also responsible for providing competitive cost estimates, coordinating with other departments involved in manufacturing products, and providing technical support to all PSD customers.

Essential Functions:

Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and MissionAssist sales representatives in preparing competitive engine project cost estimates to attain PSD and company goalsEvaluate, prioritize, and implement project work plans for PSD to optimize customer satisfaction and company profitabilityEstimate resources, establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have necessary tools, and provide timely feedbackDevelop and maintain effective business relationships vital to project success and communicate project expectations and goals; proactively communicate project status, issues, and risks to management while minimizing HOLT's exposure and risk on the projectProvide technical resources to remove roadblocks and support PSD customers and stakeholdersTrack progress, assess issues and identify solutions to meet deadlines while maintaining productivity, quality, and customer goalsEnsure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyArrange customer training and align training with customer goalsDevelop best practices and tools for project execution and managementConduct project post-mortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elementsWork safely always and adhere to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standardsPerform other duties assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge in project management practices, procedures, and processesComputer and related software knowledge and/or experience and the ability to learn/use new computer programs including MS Office products including MS ProjectKnowledge of basic office practices, procedures, and processesUnderstand how to use data visualization tools to report timelines and project updatesExcellent verbal, written, and communication skillsExceptional customer service skillsExcellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organizationTime management and time-critical prioritization skillsAbility to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with employees, team members, and managementSelf-starter and ability to work independentlyAbility to operate office machines and computersUnderstand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documentsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, coworkers, and internal and external customers

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in related field preferredUp to two years of experience in planning, scheduling, and/or project management, heavy equipment or construction management preferred

This job is generally performed in a professional office environment, in environmentally controlled conditions, and in outdoor conditions on jobsiteOccasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extreme conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidityFrequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
