Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, a leading manufacturer of specialized glass contact refractories, is currently accepting applications for Insulation Forming and Firing Planner at its Corhart facility located in Buckhannon, WV.The Insulation Forming and Firing Planner reports to the Forming and Firing IPT Manager and is accountable for the production planning of all insulation products in the forming and firing operations.Insulation Forming and Firing Planner Responsibilities:

Plan and schedule the production of all insulation products in the Forming and Firing operations.Work with Master Planner to ensure that production is balanced and paced appropriately to ensure timely delivery of ware to downstream processes through adherence to order milestones.Collaborate with department supervisors to set priorities to ensure that materials, equipment, and human resources are utilized efficiently.Work with department supervisors, engineers, as well as the IPT manager to ensure that the production plan makes good sense and is in the customer’s best interest.Work with SAP to create material numbers, establish BOM/routings, and generate POs for the various stages of operation.Collaborate with the Customer Service department on completing RFQs (Request for Quote) for customers.Generate and distribute load sheets for kiln burns.Provide regular updates and reports on production progress.Fill in for IPT Supervisor as needed.Essential Functions:

Plan and schedule the production of all insulation products through all forming and firing operations.Work with various teams to ensure a timely and efficient plan is made and executed correctly the first time.Collaborate with Procurement to ensure that raw materials are available and fit with the plan created.Collaborate with Quality and Product Engineering personnel as well as hourly associates in problem-solving sessions (Quick Kaizens) and execute the actions developed from those sessions.Collaborate with off-site colleagues on quality enhancements and be directly involved with helping to engineer solutions.Complete SAP BOM/Routings and material number creation to ensure that the correct financial data is collected.Model Corhart guidelines to develop and maintain a high-performance team culture and ensure all hourly associates model the same.Identify inefficiencies or gaps in the planning process and utilize skills to develop systems and processes to streamline where necessary utilizing WCM/Lean tools to drive a culture of continuous improvement.Provide the team with a holistic view of the plan and help to bring all the moving parts together to increase the chances of the plan’s success.Help communicate the plan to supervisors, engineers, and most importantly the shop floor personnel so that everyone understands the objectives.Promote a strong safety culture by conducting BBS observations, completing yellow cards, and participating in safety team meetings.Serve as a behavioral role model for all EHS standards; 5S & workplace organization practices; plant rules and safety regulations; and Saint Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.Be accountable for fostering a safe IPT work culture. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and quickly address them to prevent injuries and property loss. Conduct safety audits, investigations, and job safety analysis on a regular basis.Partner with IST leaders to continuously improve EHS culture, awareness, and accountability.Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:

4-year degree in a related field or a combination of work experience and education.Good understanding of mathematics and analytical methods.3-5 years of manufacturing experience.Sound knowledge and demonstrable success of planning in a production environment.Previous experience in high-performance teams or self-directed teams in a production environment.Practical/Technical Knowledge:

Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts or World Class Manufacturing (WCM).Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and relevant industry standard practices.Experience participating in audits and implementing quality management systems.Demonstrated understanding of ceramic materials and applications.Computer proficiency, including a strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience in change management and continuous improvement projects.Licenses and Certifications:

Lean/Sigma Yellow or Green Belt preferred.Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with limited HVAC, concrete floors, and exposure to industrial noise, dust, OSHA-approved chemicals, and temperature changes.Physical Demands:

Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazards or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodated.Perform tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling, gripping, stair, and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
