Senior Manager of Wholesale and DTC Retail

supports day-to-day ongoing wholesale management, wholesale expansion, and direct-to-consumer operations. This person is responsible for oversight of current and future MeatEater retail stores. The Sr. Manager will collaborate with First Lite / MeatEater stakeholders to build 1, 3 and 5 year wholesale plans. They will be responsible for selling organizational products and services. The Sr. Manager will oversee operational aspects of both stores and lead the opening of new stores from site selection to build-out to opening. They will establish a P&L for each location and ensure that the store build & operations adhere to the approved budget. This individual will set sales quotas and track performance against expectations. They should be able to develop and implement specialized or targeted sales strategies. The Sr Manager will also assist in marketing, advertising, or related departments in promoting the organization's products or services.This position is located in:Hailey, ID or Bozeman, MTRequirementsCurrent WholesaleManage current domestic wholesale relationshipsLook for process improvements that may lead to more efficient interactions with current accounts and First Lite / MeatEater TeamsIdentify and execute opportunities to grow and develop current accountsFacilitate, attend and perform product knowledge training, store and corporate events, line reviews, etc.Collaborate with First Lite / MeatEater Teams and account staff to create and execute successful product launchesWork with First Lite accounts to sync line review and sell in dates to the First Lite production calendarsWholesale ExpansionOpen 5-10 strategic brick and mortar doors before Fall of ‘24

Own new door relationships and leverage existing company resources to build those accountsFacilitate, attend and perform product knowledge trainings, line reviews, store events, etc. for new doors

Own the enforcement of reseller agreements, MAP Policy, etc. for all accountsCollaborate with First Lite / MeatEater stakeholders to build 1, 3 and 5 year wholesale plansAlways consider impacts on other distribution channels when making decisions around wholesale expansionFirst Lite and MeatEater Flagship StoresOversee all operational aspects of both storesLead and develop store teamsEnsure that stores are operating against individual P&LsCollaborate with store leaders and store staff to ensure a premium customer experience via merchandising, product presentation, fixturing, signage, etc.Create a cohesive events strategy and marketing plan across both storesExecute product launches and key company initiatives with collaboration and cohesion across all channelsFuture DTC RetailLead the opening of new stores from site selection to build-out to openingBuild a P&L for each location and ensure that the store build & operations adhere to the approved budgetRecruit and develop a store leader and team of store associates for each new locationFacilitate feedback and contribution from all departments across MeatEater to ensure each store is a great representation of all aspects of the brandTailor each build out to maximize customer experience for that region/pursuitOther duties as beneficial to MeatEaterEducation/TrainingBachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Communications or related field preferredExperience5+ years experience in wholesale, DTC retail, or similarSpecialized Knowledge/SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailWorking understanding of wholesale and DTC principles, practices and proceduresExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareInterest in supporting teammates and advancing the business culture and successPassion for the MeatEater organization and family of brandsInterest in Hunting, Fishing, and Conservation or otherwise outdoor activities
