The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly motivated and engaged Investment Consultant. They must be task-driven and detail-oriented while having clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Key responsibilities include processing incoming invoices, reviewing for accuracy, keeping accurate records of all incoming invoices and outgoing payments, managing reconciliation tasks, and submitting invoices into the Ariba payment system. The incumbent should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable taking on complex tasks, and work in partnership with others both on our team and across the enterprise. This position is based in Springfield or Boston, with a hybrid schedule.The Team

The Strategy and Planning team is part of the Investment Management (IM) Strategy and Governance Organization. The Strategy and Governance team drives IM’s strategy forward, optimizing governance and decision-making processes, analyzing and establishing common metrics, processes, and tools, and supporting key internal and external stakeholders in progressing the IM target operating model. The team is also responsible for coordinating the department's strategic initiatives, Investment Compliance, Investment Due-Diligence, and Investment Data Strategy and Governance.Impact/Key Responsibilities

Reconcile and process invoice payments in MassMutual’s vendor management system, AribaCreate and manage an invoice tracking system across multiple cost centersAnalyze financial information with the ability to create first drafts of presentations and materialsCommunicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and payments are received and processed promptlyRecognize discrepancies and be proactive in solutioning correctionsSubmit and track accruals and reclassesAssist in annual forecast, budget, and planning cyclesReview financial and contingent worker time tracking reports and create materials for reporting purposesReconcile timecards through Resource Management with invoices to ensure proper project codes are being utilizedEnter Purchase Orders through AribaManage, support, and execute the onboarding and off-boarding activities of employees and contingent resources for the divisionAssist with oversight and coordinating business-as-usual initiatives’ status, budgets (actuals, plan, and forecast), milestones and risks, actions, issues, decisions (RAID) logsPrepare presentation materials to communicate the team’s overall progress to achieve its goals and escalate any risks, issues, and/or decisions where appropriateSupport Corporate Function Project Management Office coordination as neededAssist with employee engagement, team building, event planning, and other organizational functions as neededSupport Demand and Capacity modeling as neededSharePoint site maintenance and supportHandle small initiative tasks and coordinate or perform ad-hoc administrative activities as neededMinimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree OR in lieu of an associate’s degree, we require 7+ years in equivalent professional experienceA minimum of 3+ years of related experience as an accounting specialist, project coordinator, or similar rolesThe Ideal Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree3+ years of work experience as an accounting specialist, project coordinator, or similar role preferred, preferably in an investment management businessCan-do, positive attitude and comfortable working with senior, executive, and external stakeholdersTeam Player/Relationship Building: Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills; able to relate to and build strong relationships with diverse internal and external audiencesInnovation: Continually looks within and beyond their job, anticipating business needs and opportunities.Expert knowledge and comfort working with advanced versions of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Working knowledge of Smartsheet and Resource ManagementPrevious experience working in a financial services/insurance organizationWhat to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the Team
