Position Summary
As a Data Consultant, you will guide the shaping and delivery of major projects for clients. You will work with our clients directly, Cognizant’s client account leaders and consulting specialists to provide thought leadership and industry perspective on the challenges that our clients need solving.The life of a consultant involves exciting, fast-paced work, dealing with a variety of stakeholders, clients and consultants. You need to be someone that can deal with ambiguity, thrive on change, and manage your own time effectively. We want someone that genuinely focuses on client outcomes, with a high degree of integrity.You will need to be confident when presenting to both business and technology stakeholders, being part of cross-functional geographically dispersed teams, and have strong negotiation skills for outcomes. Above all, you should have a positive attitude, and enjoy working with consultants from a diverse range of backgrounds, on a variety of fast-paced engagements.
Mandatory Skills
6+ years of experience working with data. Experience working for financial and mining companies.Proficiency in DBT for data transformation and modeling.Extensive experience with SQL Server, MYSQL, Snowflake, and Neo4J (Neo4J experience is a significant advantage).Strong knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Functions.Advanced Python, Scala programming skills. Strong experience working with distributed systems like Databricks solutions.Experience with data modeling techniques and best practices.Proficient experience with Astronomer/Airflow for workflow orchestration.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience with other data tools and frameworks.Proficient with SQL and NOSQL technologies.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering. Proficient experience working with Agile methodologies like Scrum.
