SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking a Senior Buyer who will primarily be responsible for sourcing, ensuring the procurement process is followed, and ensuring the company gets the best prices and terms possible to support the Project Management/Production schedules. Other responsibilities of the Senior Buyer include managing inventory levels, supporting material revisions, interacting/coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics, and supporting other business functions as required.Duties and Responsibilities:Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintain the integrity of MRP planning parameters (costing, lead times, safety stock etc)Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Develop and implement strategies for procuring and storing goods.Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by MRP, production schedule, and WRIKE.Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems.Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule.Coordinate material flows throughout BOM changes, obsolescence, and the introduction of new suppliers or materials due to new product development.Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns, and quality problems with suppliers.Communicate with Suppliers, both via phone and email, to ensure on time delivery and lead time accuracy.Generate and issue reports to Direct Manager and Project Managers to advise of deviations in delivery dates.Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.Timely and precise processing of purchase orders.Any additional duties assigned by Manager.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a buyer function is preferred.Experience with NetSuite desired.Strong negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as a team player and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Sound time management skills, strong sense of urgency, and attention to detail.Experience in production and inventory control.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience working with machine shops, PCB fab, or similar preferred.Comfortable interacting with engineering groups; occasionally acting as the liaison between external vendors and internal designers.Knowledge of commonly used procurement concepts, practices, and procedures.Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
