HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Team Leader for our manufacturing plant in Pompano Beach. This position leads the Second Shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM).The Team Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing floor. This position is primarily responsible for leading and guiding a team of manufacturing personnel in the execution of daily production tasks, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The role involves coordinating various manufacturing activities, overseeing the adherence to production schedules, and ensuring that all team members are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively. The Team Leader is a key figure in fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations.Duties and Responsibilities
Lead a team of 10-20 team members.Follow, create, and improve the standards.Ensure adherence to defined working methods and procedures.Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills.Assist in conducting performance reviews and manage any disciplinary issues within the team.Monitor production processes and adjust as necessary to improve efficiency and output.Enforce strict quality control standards, ensuring products meet both internal and external specifications.Uphold and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Identify and resolve operational problems, implementing effective solutions.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements in processes and procedures.Facilitate effective communication within the team and cross-functional departments.Adapt to changing production schedules and priorities, managing team resources accordingly.Manage hourly workforce payroll using ADP.Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Experience in 5s, lean manufacturing, six sigma, or other industry-related methodologies.Previous experience in a leadership role demonstrating the ability to manage teams effectively or several years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a progressive track record of responsibility.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Experience with measuring tools like micrometers and calipers, or willingness to learn.Keen attention to detail and problem-solving.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).Experience using Excel for data analysis, tracking production metrics, data entry, and creating reports.ERP system experience (SAP experience a plus).Employee Benefits
