Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Specialty Programs, the Assistant Director implements and administers the recruiting, admissions and onboarding processes for the Master of Accounting (MAcc) program at the Jones Graduate School of Business. The Assistant Director is responsible for establishing, building, and maintaining partnerships within the school and across the campus. This individual independently works on the development and implementation of communication and marketing activities, creates programs, services, events and/or products to meet organizational objectives and recruiting and admission needs. This individual also works closely with our Faculty Director for the MAcc program and is responsible for recruitment activities such as travel, tele-recruitment, online chats and webinars, and email campaigns, admissions procedures, including reading applications, and leading yield initiatives for our admitted students. The Assistant Director may also support other degree programs within Specialty Programs, including the online MBA program (MBA@Rice) and the undergraduate program.

Workplace Requirements:
This position is offered as a hybrid role (one work-from-home day), combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. This role will require presence at frequent evening and weekend events.
Hiring Range:
$60,000 to $64,000
Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
In lieu of the education requirement, additional related experience, above and beyond what is required, may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
2+ years’ experience in Higher Education or related field
In lieu of the experience requirement, additional related education, above and beyond what is required, may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.

Creates and implements plans to achieve program objectives and mission
Interprets, implements, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations and recommends changes to procedures and processes
Analyzes data, identifies trends, develops reports and recommends and implements changes to improve alignment with institutional mission and goals
Creates and implements outreach plans that may include relationship development, communications, event and conference management
Provides support in developing relationships with internal and external entities
Responsible for graduate student recruitment and admissions, student records, curriculum support, managing scholarships and fellowships, and monitoring student progress
May supervise student workers
Performs all other duties as assigned
