Description

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is a 27-bed cardiac and medical critical care unit. We specialize in pre and post-operative cardiac patients, cardiomyopathy patients requiring mechanical circulatory support, heart failure, and post-MI cardiology patients, including IABP, Swan-Ganz, CRRT, TTM, DKA, Pacemakers, Severe Sepsis, and Respiratory Failure.

Under the direction of the nurse manager, Director, or Executive Director, the Charge Nurse/Nursing Supervisor provides an optimal environment and assists in overseeing and directing unit activities and personnel to ensure high-quality patient care. Plans, organizes, controls, and coordinates department activities ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient, cost-effective service. Adheres to the ANA Nursing Administration: Scope and Standards of Practice.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

2 years of recent clinical experience in the specialty area.

Leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing

Additional leadership experience.
