Sr. Project Manager

Position DescriptionCGI has an immediate need for a Sr. Project Manager to join our team in Sterling, VA, Columbia, SC, or Reston, VA. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!We have over 73,000+ CGI Members in 40 countries and over 5k+ loyal Clients who are leveraging our end-to-end services across the globe.Your future duties and responsibilitiesPlan course of projects, including milestones, resources needed in the form of staff hours, use of technology and tools to document the project plan, following established project management methodology.Track course of project from meetings, conferring with stakeholders, documenting meeting minutes and receiving reports.Document changes to scope or functionalities with change ticket, project plan, or other format.Report on progress of project, use of staff, progress on milestones and the like to stakeholders.Document exceptions or deviations as needed. Convene meetings and plan agenda to ensure important issues are aired and resolved.Ensure that the project is implemented with all the necessary governance and controls.Meet with technical staff to determine business needs and functionalities desired for new or revised application.Determine and define project scope and objectives.Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.Track project costs in order to meet budget.Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.Create Road map for the deliverable.Work on NFR (not functional requirement).Create presentation for the higher management.Coordinate with multiple stakeholders.Facilitate PI planning.Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role8+ years of project management experience.Experience with facilitating the discussions of a large scope IT Cloud Infrastructure projects that require coordination across the enterprise.Good understanding of enterprise processes and how they tie in to demand management and delivery (SDLC, PMLC, Jira, ServiceNow, Agile methodologies).Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure & associated technologies/products (AWS environment experience, a plus).Strong analytical/quantitative and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.Well versed in creating presentations using MS PowerPoint, analyzing & summarizing project data using Excel & managing confluence pages for leadership reporting.Excellent communication skills including listening, verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills; experience summarizing technical efforts while explaining the business capability impact.Ability to contribute to a productive team environment where teamwork and group problem solving is encouraged.Demonstrated ability to work with teams and influence across peer group and ensure execution of planned tasks.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Education:Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or relevant field.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Compensation:CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
