The Assistant Director of the Holy Cross Fund reports to the Director of Alumni Giving and President’s Council. The Assistant Director’s responsibilities include working with alumni philanthropy efforts. The Assistant Director will be responsible for managing the reunion gift effort for two to three classes and fundraising efforts for 10 non-reunion classes.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Works closely with, trains and supports class volunteers, including class leadership and reunion gift committee members, to be successful in their work on behalf of the College.

Work with internal and external campus and department partners, as well as key alumni volunteers, to develop and implement a strategic business plan to engage and cultivate alumni for one of the top Annual Giving programs in the country

Actively engage and build relationships that result in the solicitation of a portfolio of approximately 2,500 current and lapsed donors, and prospective emerging leadership annual donors

Works to provide a personalized engagement and giving experience for identified donor groups by leveraging digital engagement strategies to effectively build relationships and grow overall annual financial support for the College of the Holy Cross.

Responsible for actively building relationships with a portfolio of donors and prospects. Leveraging digital technologies, this position executes regular touch points to engage, solicit and steward middle-tier and emerging donors.

Manages the coordination of communications with Class Chairs, solicitation mailings, volunteer meetings and other needs as necessary

Minimum Qualifications

A skillset that leverages technology including social media platforms, texting, video conferencing software tools, and other digital tools to build rapport, steward and solicit donors in a donor-centric, targeted, high-volume manner

Motivated and goal-oriented professional with the ability to work with a team as well as an individual performer

Initiative, good judgment and sensitivity to confidential information required.

Should be able to meet people easily, work well with others and project a positive image of the College.

Strong analytic skills, including the ability to look at data, draw conclusions to inform strategies and tactics.

Work evenings and weekends as required.
