Distribution QAQC Lead

for

electric utility design engineering . We’re looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring that every project, no matter how simple or complex, is of exceptional quality. You'll be working directly with clients to make sure that Leidos' reputation for high-quality work is always maintained.This position is largely remote in nature, but Candidates must be located in the Northeastern US (New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island or neighboring state) in order to be considered. You may mostly work from home, but must be available to travel regionally to provide support to our local utility clients as needed. Your greatest work is ahead!As a QAQC Lead, You can expect to:Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customersPerform 3rd party make ready design and analysis; potentially work on capital/ reliability design (i.e. reconductor, voltage conversion, DG, FLISR, underground, etc. designs)Be responsible for QAQC tasks on your assigned team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your team's designs prior to submittals for client projectsReview engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program workPerform distribution design by creating construction sketches and producing bill of material for 3rd party designPerform functional tasks, planning, and/or customer follow-upPerform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client prioritiesGain experience in coordinating conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements, assessing and developing large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments, work permit development, easements, and ROW applicationsBe comfortable in both a field and office setting; the role could possibly require some customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packagesWhat Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):Bachelor's of Science in an engineering disciplineA minimum of 2 years of

relevant experience working with Third Party Make Ready Projects for electric utilities;

Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an engineering Bachelor's degreeExperience and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)Experience with engineering design quality controlFamiliarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman)Demonstrated experience with development of civil & electrical packages associated with complex cable/conduit in dense urban environmentsProven experience and proficiency with STORMS software and GIS is preferredPrior leadership experience is preferredAt Leidos, the opportunities are boundless. Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
