JOB SUMMARY:

Come be a part of the progress! The Revenue Cycle Department is in need of a Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to the following:

Supervision of 5 internal staff members (when fully staffed) and 10 contract workers.Serves as a resource for all non-covered and secondary technical denial work queues.Monitors their assigned staff's work queue activity, ensuring the queues are brought within the expected 30-day metric.The supervisor must keep their work queues within a 6-day metric.Handles all denials trends/issues which have been elevated by their team.Validate the accuracy of the denial and research information submitted and determine the appropriate actions to resolve.Performs informal audits on new employees as well as meet with each of their employees weekly to discuss their collection efforts.Produce a production report which is sent to their staff on a daily basis.Identifying areas of deficiencies and ensuring the appropriate training is provided to bring the staff up to the required expectation.Maintains attendance records, mentors, coaches and prepares annual evaluation appraisals for each one of their staff members.Plays an important part in the team's ability to meet the team metrics.Assists the various Revenue Location in meeting the financial goal of maintaining a collection rate of 95% or greater.

EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalent.5 years' experience working with medical claims recovery and/or denials management and regulations within a healthcare or insurance environment.Five (5) years' experience in a lead or supervisory experience is preferred.

JOB DUTIES:

Supervises day-to-day operations of assigned group.Ensures production and quality control standards are met by reviewing management reports.Assigns workload to meet production requirements by evaluating production reports.Maintains performance standards by counseling employees, performing appraisals and providing required training.Ensures departmental policies and procedures are properly followed. In addition, develops and revises policies and procedures as needed.Maintains written procedures for workflow by writing or updating procedures as needed.Communicates and educates all applicable information to appropriate personnel and affiliated facilities as required. Completes reporting to management.Compiles, analyzes and reports status and issues involving all aspects of assigned area.Makes recommendations to management to reflect changes by reviewing management reports and other data, identifies conflicts and writes resolutions.Completes special projects as assigned by management.Participates in project groups and task force teams.Reviews and analyzes information, identifies problems, recommends solutions and/or writes reports for management or other personnel within established business presentations to staff.Monitors correspondence received from various sources, audits mail returned for bad addresses and updates addresses as needed.Audits patient accounts for mailing problems.Resolves complex problems and questions by contacting insurance companies, places of employment or federal agencies.Performs other duties as assigned.
