OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Category Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a specific product category, driving strategic planning, and maximizing profitability through effective procurement and inventory management.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and margin targetsConduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunitiesCollaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and promotionsManage product lifecycle from development to sell-throughOptimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stockUtilize systems for data analysis and forecasting to make informed decisionsLead cross-functional teams in executing category plans
Qualifications
Proven experience in category management, procurement, or related fieldStrong strategic planning and analytical skillsKnowledge of inventory management practicesAbility to build and maintain vendor relationshipsFamiliarity with product development processesProficiency in sourcing strategies and vendor management techniques
