| Posted on 09/17/2024Summary - Job Responsibilities:Enforce and maintain the Quality System to ISO/IEC 17025 & 9001, including creating, revising, tracking, and organizing all documentation, forms, procedures, and work instructions.Keep work instructions and forms simple and consistent; institute changes as needed for compliance.Document quality procedures, processes, workflow, tools, equipment, and solutions for the company.Delegate tasks to Quality Engineer and QC Inspectors, ensuring they spend time on the shop floor to identify issues and train production.Assist in meeting on-time shipments by resolving quality issues promptly.Help lower costs by reducing re-work.Develop design guides to resolve recurring issues and document new ones.Inform supervisors of new design guide documents for communication to their workers.Functions:Establish procedures/controls to ISO/IEC standards showing the flow of product lines and operations from start to finish.Develop knowledge of standards related to certified products and reports, including required documentation for authorized agencies (IEC, CSA, ATEX, UL ANSI, etc.).Communicate daily with Engineering, Operations, Test, Planning, Purchasing, and Customer Service departments, splitting time between shop floor and office.Train direct reports to improve skills, experience, and productivity, focusing on quality philosophy and new guidebook procedures.Maintain spreadsheets for change history, ECR/ECN’s, CAR’s, SCAR’s, calibrated equipment, and certification courses.Maintain ISO 9001 and 17025 certifications annually.Facilitate classes on Basic ISO 9000 and Quality Procedures for new employees.Deliver monthly quality reports with analysis and recommendations.Improve overall quality of products through ECR/ECN, SCAR’s, CAR’s processes.Develop, revise, and document items for the Design Guidebook.Drive permanent fixes for recurring issues through SOP and training.Analyze test data from the Test Department, including plotting graphs and filing reports.Update calibration schedules and review accuracy of calibration sheets.Plan and schedule internal ISO audits, interacting with auditors and responding to Corrective Action Requests.Requirements

Education - Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Operations Management, or related field.10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.3+ years of supervisory experience.5+ years experience in Quality Control, preferably in transformers or related manufacturing industries.US based candidates only.Salary plus bonus ($90k-$130k)Insurance, 401k with company matching, vacation and holiday pay.
