Engineering Manager, NSSS, Feed Water and other Plant Control Systems Engineering
General Job Function:
Lead and manage the engineering team for the NSSS, Feed Water and other nuclear plant control systems.
Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):
Responsible as a resource and technical manager for 15+ personnel.
Responsible for the effective operations of the engineering team and ensure standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance are met in engineering processes.
Develop resources and lead people development activities. Prepare and successfully implement training and development plans with emphasis on long-term resource needs.
Develop valued I&C product and platform management skills in the organization.
Develop innovative solutions to create customer value in collaboration with appropriate Westinghouse organizations.
Oversee and successfully implement product development projects.
Identify and allocate adequate resources for each project need.
Lead the team with a strategic focus, communicate vision for future and promote a culture that aligns with organizational goals.
Orchestrate and drive cost-efficient product or service delivery.
Responsible for group financial performance.
Drive technology continuous improvement and standardization.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of leadership with instrumentation & control experience.
MSEE, MBA, PE preferred but not required.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge and experience in I&C systems, specifically in NSSS, Feed Water and other nuclear plant systems are preferred but not required.
Knowledge and experience in Ovation (Emerson) Platform is preferred but not required.
Demonstrate ability to lead the engineering of customer-oriented solutions.
Demonstrated successful offer development skills in effectively estimating, planning and executing significantly complex projects/programs.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) and a proven history of managing and effectively leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
Demonstrated ability to oversee engineering activities and opportunity management.
Consistent demonstration of driving for results.
Build consultative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Applies comprehensive engineering knowledge to lead through complex and difficult technical challenges.
