Cruise Industry Sales / Project Manager PositionResponsibilities:Develop equipment specifications and customer’s scope of work in accordance with company standards.Conduct and organize, as required, ship inspections to define project scope to meet project objectives.Contact vendors and suppliers to obtain technical info, pricing, availability, etc.Prepare quotations and issue RFQs to vendors to procure buyout equipment and services.Use of ERP Infor VISUAL system for entering specifications of equipment, customer orders, purchasing, inventory maintenance, etc.Manage and oversee the Dry Dock projects with responsibility for the installation, profitability, quality, and work schedule.Monitor and expedite the submittal process with subcontractors, staff, and the designated approval authorities so that materials, tools, and equipment are delivered to the project sites in accordance with project schedules.Plan and organize travel arrangements for installation crews.Organize and support shipping and receiving including preparation of packing lists.Develop and implement a variety of proactive sales methods including on-site customer visits, trade shows, sponsor presentations, and industry events.Develop bills of materials, lists of components, and other documentation required for manufacture and/or procurement of equipment.Consistently seek and drive new revenue opportunities.Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the rules and regulations of the United States Public Health (USPH) and marine cruise line industry.The successful candidate possesses:Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.Excellent organizational, multitasking, and computer skills.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to build, energize, and effectively manage the sales and project activities.High proficiency in INFOR Visual ERP systems.Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.Requirements:1-2 years’ experience in the maritime industry.Valid passport for international travel.Ability to build and maintain relationships.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.Basic knowledge and understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, ventilation, fire suppression systems, refrigeration, etc. for cruise vessels.Self-starter and team player.BA/BS degree preferred.Established relationships with cruise lines a plus.Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish).
