Procurement Category Manager . In this position, you will be responsible for overall sourcing strategy development and implementation for assigned categories of products and services. This position will support our two liquid blending facilities in Bourbonnais, IL and Dallas, GA. Success in this role will rely on a motivated candidate’s ability to work in cross-functional teams to determine the sourcing needs of the organization, maintaining a thorough market knowledge for assigned categories, and appropriately managing supplier relationships to develop and implement sourcing strategies that maximize the value created through the procurement process.Why ARDEX?Scenic Location:

Be part of a company that values your professional development and offers opportunities for advancement.What You’ll Do:Responsible for the development and execution of category sourcing strategies for assigned categories.Support the development of raw material and packaging forecasts and effectively communicate market movements to stakeholders throughout the organization.Negotiate value-added agreements with suppliers to secure goods and services with advantageous terms for ARDEX.Establish and manage effective relationships with key suppliers and business stakeholders.Align and collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Sales, and other Procurement team members to evaluate business requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies maximizing the total cost of ownership for ARDEX.Experience and Skills:

Demonstrate knowledge and experience in category management and strategic sourcing, with a focus on driving cost savings and process efficiencies.Ability to research and analyze data from multiple sources including industry publications, market intel sources, and internal data.Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various competing initiatives and prioritize appropriately.Proficiency in Microsoft programs required, SAP experience preferred.Individual will occasionally work in a production environment at ARDEX and supplier locations where they may be exposed to dirt, dust, and hot/cold temperatures.Ability to travel approximately 10% by car and air.Education:Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, business, or related field required.Comprehensive Benefits: Including medical (1st day of the month following hire), dental, vision, 401K match, PTO, 11 paid holidays, and more.Unique Perks: Discounted gym memberships, wellness initiatives, tuition assistance, pet insurance, and a supportive Employee Assistance Program.
