National Grid’s Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we’ll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one – putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you’ll begin working in the full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.About the Position

As an Associate Engineer, Electrical Asset Management, you will provide technical and business process support to ensure the accuracy of our Geographical Information System (GIS). The GIS is used to make decisions regarding new projects and the accuracy of the GIS ensures the safety of our customers and communities. On this team, you will conduct analysis of the GIS, work alongside your team on projects to enhance the GIS and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.This is a hybrid role based in Northboro, Massachusetts.What You’ll Do

As an engineer on this innovative team, you will work with the systems that influence how we approach new projects at National Grid.In this role you will:Provide Geographical Information System (GIS) technical and process support for the US Electric Distribution BusinessIdentify and work to correct discrepancies found in the GIS to ensure safety and accuracyWork closely with Electric Distribution Control Center teams to develop solutions to GIS and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) related issues and grid modernization tools.Analyze, update, and report data to the appropriate channelsAssist in the design, development, and implementation of knowledge management strategiesEffectively collaborate with the wider team to produce simplified, relevant knowledge content within necessary deadlines.What You’ll Need

Bachelor or Master’s degree from an accredited institutionGraduated between May 2024 and June 2025Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policyWork authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)It would be awesome if you had
