Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for performing multiple inventory tasks to include inventory accuracy, completion of replenishment, and allocation of manufactured and purchased materials required for customer demand.The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience; or an equivalent number of years of education and work experience. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.What you'll do:Assist with inventory cycle counts and develop standard work proceduresConduct inventory transfers, adjustments, and tracking into computer databaseTroubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnelEnter HDPE and PPC production and report on metricsConduct customer stocking agreement maintenance, customer order processing, customer releases, and customer inventory reviewDistribute monthly resin and impact modifier purchasesCreate inventory ABL report for accounting teamUpdate records of continuous improvement reportOther duties as assignedWhat you'll bring:Associates Degree and a minimum of 2 years' of inventory control experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to grasp and understand business concepts and issuesExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsGood understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculationsHigh attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizationShow initiativeAll associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and ExcellenceWithin 3 months, you'll:Complete your Atkore immersion program.Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.Gain an understanding of the business and team you work with and support.Support various leaders and departments to ensure smooth business, finance, and production operations.Within 6 months, you'll:Identify ways to strengthen you and your team's commitment to Atkore's core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.Have a complete understanding of your position and its importance to daily operation.Within 12 months, you'll:Be able to resolve issues quickly and safely, embracing Atkore's culture and core values.Lead an initiative to improve process in the operations.Participate in the PI process to understand a full financial reconciliation of material.Atkore is a four-time Great Place to Work certified company and a two-time Top Workplaces USA award winner!
