As such, Ramboll has earned a reputation as a leader in the areas of environmental risk assessment and management, strategic compliance management, and environmental liability assessment.Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant or Manager to join the Pacific Northwest Business Unit (Seattle, Washington, Vancouver, Washington, or Portland, Oregon).To succeed in this role, you must have the following educational and work experience:B.S. or M.S. in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, or chemical) or in a relevant science discipline (geology or hydrogeology)8+ years of relevant environmental consulting, including environmental site investigation and characterization, and regulatory review, interpretation, and compliance in the Pacific Northwest regionDemonstrate experience working with state agencies to pursue site closureExperience in scoping environmental assessments to develop proposals, including desktop analysis and field investigationsExperience with managing a team of supporting scientists to deliver high quality and on-time deliverablesExperience with training team members to expand skill setsThe following additional areas of experience are preferred:Experience with multiple environmental media (e.g., soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, soil vapor, air)Experience with multiple contaminant classes (e.g., chlorinated solvents, hydrocarbons, metals, PCBs, and/or PFAS and other emerging contaminants)Feasibility study analysis and cost analysisRemediation design, implementation, O&M, and regulatory closureProperty transaction support/due diligenceYour key tasks and responsibilities will include:Provide technical analysis of complicated site contamination and regulatory compliance issues and prepare technical reports that effectively communicate findings.Evaluate remedial alternatives and develop remedial action plans and cost estimates considering client needs, technical feasibility, and regulatory environment.Prepare technical analyses and write reports that effectively communicate findings, including in support of consulting and testifying experts on environmental litigation matters.Assess emerging contaminant risks and impacts for sites and portfolios of sites.Support the assessment, valuation, management and reporting of environmental liabilities.Draw upon prior experience to provide advisory support to industry, government, and legal clients, helping them to achieve better, more sustainable outcomes.Critically review and interpret environmental regulations.Lead and conduct multiple projects simultaneously and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.Take on leadership roles in supporting internal and external clients.Demonstrate leadership in implementing corporate health and safety standards.Leverage experience and skill set to support training of other team members.Welcome to our Environment & Health divisionRamboll develops innovative, scientifically sound solutions that help increase livability by reducing pollution and restoring natural environments.
