Role Description
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a subcontractor who has a National Highways division delivering various projects from Frameworks through to major projects. Within this position, you will be managing 2 junior Quantity Surveyors that work with you on a day-to-day basis.
This role supports the Quantity Surveyors, assisting them with skill gaps, checking the accounts, and ensuring that the work is undertaken correctly. You will become hands-on when working on larger £5m projects or Frameworks that need additional support.
Day To Day Duties Will Vary But Could Include:
Managing a small team of Quantity Surveyors delivering live Highway schemes and other minor projects.Overseeing the detailed bills of quantities and cost breakdowns.Monitoring project costs against your package of works.Supporting the management of sub-contractor costs and payments.Reporting and managing variations, claims, and other contractual issues that may arise.Mentoring and managing the quantity surveyors, focusing on leadership and training aspects.Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships both internally and with external sub-contractors.
Qualifications / Experience:Degree qualified - ideally in Quantity Surveying.Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven ability to develop more junior members of staff.Full driving licence.
