No sponsorship is available for this position.We are currently seeking a full-time Principal with business development talent and a book of work with existing clients focused on Site Solutions (i.e., investigation and remediation) with a specific emphasis on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Our key candidate is a mature consultant who will focus on developing business that benefits from our technical expertise and global reputation. You must have experience managing consulting assignments and enjoy working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in the analysis and communication of information is essential. Your goal will be to work cooperatively with colleagues, agencies, and trade organizations to develop solutions that guide risk-based decision-making. You must also demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and developing staff.Ramboll has adopted a hybrid model of work, with a combination of remote and in-person opportunities. Office location is flexible within the US.Ramboll’s PFAS ExpertiseFor more than two decades, Ramboll has developed PFAS management solutions for our clients, understanding the complex environmental, chemical, and toxicological characteristics of PFAS and the challenges they present. We combine our global network of experts with local knowledge to help clients navigate the rapidly evolving regulatory environment surrounding PFAS management.Your practice or specialty areas associated with PFAS may include:Expert Services associated with the Legal SectorSite Investigation and RemediationYour key tasks and responsibilities will include:Identifying and pursuing business opportunitiesGenerating revenues sufficient to support 2-3 staff membersManaging projects, clients, and regulatory agency relationsDemonstrating thought leadership through client presentations, webinars, and participation in scientific, professional, and trade group meetingsCollaborating with colleagues across disciplines and business unitsGuiding staff in their careers and promoting staff developmentFor this role, your starting point is:An academic degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Chemistry, Risk Assessment, or related discipline15+ years of experience in scientific consulting, including a track record of successful business developmentStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to manage external client and regulatory agency relationships and internal staffDemonstrated business development and leadership capabilitiesPersonal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:Being a confident communicator with superior management skills, natural leadership talent, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams across geographical borders.You will join Ramboll Environment and HealthWhen you join us, you will provide technical and business leadership and contribute to advanced solutions in the human health sciences or environmental sciences with applications to the pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, energy, government, and/or legal sectors.How to applyApply online.
