NJ State Client Innovation seeks a Project Manager for the Connected Assets project on Newark Light Rail.Manage Broadband Backbone, Mesh Network, Mobile Edge Compute Devices, and custom microservices.Requires strong IT project management, IoT/hardware, and software development lifecycle experience.Responsibilities: translate proof-of-concept into requirements, facilitate RFP, select vendors, oversee implementation.Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience in Transportation, Engineering, and ITS; Professional Engineer (P.Eng/PE) certification is a plus.Proven IT Project Manager experience in the transit industry; PMP certification or equivalent.Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.Experience managing IoT projects integrating hardware and software across multiple locations.Transit-specific software and systems experience is a plus.Ability to work in matrixed organizations; Cloud and DevOps certifications are a plus.
