The Contract Manager is responsible for managing all legal agreements, in particular connection agreements between National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) and the National Energy System Operator (NESO), ensuring compliance against our licence obligations. Customer needs should be understood and met where possible, whilst also identifying and mitigating business risks.This role is crucial in connecting customers to the high voltage transmission system in England and Wales and turning the UK’s net zero ambitions into reality.What you'll do

Contractually manage our complex connection agreements and liaise with relevant teams to mitigate project risks.Ensure our CRM data is accurate and reflects actual contract/project status.Work closely with the Relationship Management Teams to ensure Customer requirements/needs are fully understood.Share knowledge, coach and help in developing the Contract Managers & Contract Coordinators.Support the Lead Contract Manager with the roll out of process change/new processes to the team.What you'll need

Experience of managing multiple stakeholders.Proven track record of being able to influence at a senior level.Commercial acumen and strong negotiations skills.Thrives in a busy working environment with numerous activities running in parallel.Experience in contract and/or account management preferred.Experience in energy or utilities (or similar industry) preferred.Experience in using a CRM System (Salesforce or similar) preferred.What you'll get
