Position Information

The Product Manager will report to the Product Management Leader of the Fixed Retail Scanner Business Unit. This position oversees the assigned product line(s) managing the whole product lifecycle.Role Mission

The FRS Product Manager in Datalogic is responsible for establishing a clear product vision within the BU Portfolio Roadmap for their assigned products. The role’s mission is to define, position and develop new products and portfolio strategy, identifying customer needs and aligning requirements accordingly. Once a new product is launched, the PM manages its lifecycle and supports the success of the product within the market, working to optimize its performance until the end-of-life.Key ResponsibilitiesManage complete product life-cycle from inception (New Product Development phase) to obsolescence.Analyze VoC (voice of customer) and prepare PRD (product requirements document).Manage technical development and secure overall development is consistent with PRD requirements and time-to-market goals.Define beta test requirements and target customers.Define product positioning including pricing across all geographies.Analyze market demand and follow major opportunities, to assist Operations Planning with business forecasting.Develop training materials and execute product training.Manage product performance, quality, cost and approve Special Product Requests.Continuously analyze product positioning and competitive information.Work with Product Marketing and Marcom to communicate relevant marketing messages including all product specific collateral.Develop and manage strategic relationships with 3rd parties such as manufacturers, suppliers and vendors.Cooperate closely with R&D in defining new product specifications and throughout the project ensuring the Voice of the Customer is always considered.Qualifications/RequirementsEducation (School/Specialization): Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or Economics. Masters Degree is a plus.Primary Language: Fluent English; written and verbal communication.Experience:

3-5 years as Product Manager or equivalent.
