Join the Oklahoma Aerospace and Defense Innovation Institute (OADII) as the Administrative & Operations Executive Director for Spectrum Dominance!

You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations and designated as the lead point of contact for assigned areas. This position will develop policies, procedures, and goals, oversee the budget process, resolve problems, manage personnel, and implement programs to maximize the effectiveness of assigned operations. You will collaborate closely with OADII leadership, associate directors, and OU faculty researchers, focusing on advancing key initiatives in spectrum warfare, modernization and sustainment resilience, cyberspace, information dominance, and national defense policy.

Essential Duties:

Leads and manages large, complex projects within the national defense and security domain, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Prepares and leads presentations to executive leadership, committees, and staff.

Develops and implements strategic plans for defense-related research projects, aligning with OADII's focus areas and overarching objectives.

Builds strong, collaborative relationships with federal, state, and local government agencies and corporate affiliates to develop business opportunities.

Interacts positively with OADII/VPRP Executive Teams and develops sound working relationships that effectively communicate project progress to senior leadership and funding agencies.

Fosters collaboration among OADII leadership, associate directors, and OU faculty researchers to drive innovation and achieve project goals.

Manages project resources, including personnel, funding, and equipment, to optimize project outcomes and deliverables.

Leads the preparation, presentation, and submission of high-quality proposals for defense-related research projects and grants.

Identifies opportunities for growth and innovation and establishes and nurtures partnerships with federal agencies and industry partners.

Performs other duties or special initiatives as assigned to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Job Requirements:

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or technical field applicable to spectrum management,

AND:

10 years experience in defense/security administration, project/program administration, organization management, or demonstrated competence in the development and implementation of related programs and management of resources.

Equivalency/Substitution:

Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.

Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License

Active security TS clearance or ability to obtain clearance within 12 months of employment.

Skills:

Ability to develop sound and maintain strong business relationships, improve communications, and successfully manage large programs.

Technical proficiency in defense-related research domains.
