What You Will Be Doing

Manage complex Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contactPerform activities including new and renewal marketing, fielding questions and requests, and coverage reviewAssist Sales Executives team and provide guidance to Account Representatives and/or Account ManagersProvide proactive, personalized support to assigned high-touch, complex Commercial Lines clientsProvide insurance technical expertise to clients and members of the Account Management and Sales Executive teamResponsible for marketing and placement of client Commercial Lines insurance renewalsPrepare client applications for review with assistance from Account RepresentativesDetermine most-appropriate carriers for market pricingAnalyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offeringsMake insurance program recommendations to clientsManage client renewal expirations and avoid any lapse in coverageNegotiate complexly with carriers on behalf of clientsProcess policies, endorsements and audits as neededChampion client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accountsRepresent client interests in internal USI account strategy meetingsDelegate administrative client tasks to assigned Account RepresentativesRespond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional mannerMaintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systemsAttend client meetings frequently in-person, with and without Sales ExecutivesRegularly interact with carriers and frequently meet with underwriters face-to-face

Experience You Will Need

Experience in a Commercial Lines agencyCollege degree is preferredNeed to be licensed brokers in NY.Expert understanding of Property & Casualty insuranceComfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office productsFamiliarity with AMS 360 & Vertafore management systems is a plusExperience with E&S CarriersStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instructionKeep informed about industry information, technology and trends
