Working closely with customers across retail, food service and B2B, our bespoke chicken and turkey products offer creative and flavoursome lunchtime solutions, including street food-inspired dishes, superfood salads, hot and cold sandwiches and much more.The main purpose of the role is to deputise in the absence of the Manager & act as Manager during periods of cover when requested by the management. Assure the production plan and deadlines are met by supervising the production processes and effectively organising responsibilities as well as co-ordinate the transfer and correct use of all materials, ensuring full traceability is maintained at all times.Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off daysThe key elements of the role are:Liaise with the Department Manager to identify the correct levels of resources and manage the operation within these agreed parameters.Ensure correct batch codes, use by dates and appropriate stock routines are followed and are appropriately recorded on the audit sheets and entered into the FOPS System.Ensure correct stock rotation.Visually appraise the product and report any non-conformances to senior Management / Technical immediately.Conduct preflight checks, ensuring the machine is set up correctly and has no visual damage.Guide and train new starters.Ensure the company's hygiene policies are adhered to and maintained at all times.Ensure correct storage of the product in the area.Supervise line operatives on a day-to-day basis ensuring that performance, product quality, good housekeeping, discipline, and safety standards are maintained.Ensure correct recording of KPIs.Communicate all issues to the manager in a timely manner.
