And we don’t just consume Linux technologies, we strive to be positive, active participants and contributors in relevant upstream communities.As a Product Manager II, Linux Partnerships, you will represent Microsoft to upstream Linux communities (such as Debian, Fedora, Rocky and Alma) and work with commercial Linux distribution partners (such as Canonical, Oracle, SUSE and Red Hat) to define and prioritize engineering investments to support and advance those offers in Azure, and act as an internal champion for those communities and partners within Microsoft. This opportunity will allow you to influence the direction of Linux across the industry and within Microsoft, develop technical understanding of various Linux technologies, and further develop your understanding of and profile within the Linux community and with commercial partners. Dive business impact internally across multiple organizations and with our partners, including articulating business metrics (KRs/KPIs) and track success.Identify long-term investment opportunities and engage partners and the community to garner support for those feature areas.Have a data driven approach with the ability to analyze and join multiple data sources to understand customer trends, business health and partnering with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs to improve Linux and open-source technology offerings.Identify offers and features to deprecate, manage customer and partner communications, and build trust with customers and partners.Manage contractual reseller relationships with key Linux distribution partners.Elevate/escalate major business blockers to stakeholder teams and drive to resolution.Engage with our internal field sales, consulting and support teams to drive readiness and address customer blockers.Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development.OR equivalent experience.1+ year experience in Open Source and/or Partner Management.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development.OR equivalent experience.Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.Microsoft will accept applications for the role until April 29, 2024.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
