Export Branch Assistant Manager

General Description:A person in this position is responsible for being the support capacity to all Director Of Export Sales activities. This includes providing administrative and clerical support, record keeping, and working on special projects. Completes and updates department regulatory reports. Leading all branch personnel ensuring the training of company policies and procedures to branch members. Excellence is demonstrated consistently and process improvements are contributed.

Minimum Qualifications:Formal Training:● Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or similar requiredExperience:● Minimum 2 years working as an Assistant Manager for the Company, or● Minimum 2 years of exceptional work in a general office environment (preferably within a sales office or customer service environment)Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Values (KSAV):

Knowledge:● General Advanced knowledge of all WHS procedures, methods, and techniques, inventory control● General knowledge of business policies and practices, document flows, general office procedures● General knowledge of ERP Applications (Prophet 21 preferred)● General knowledge about Incoterms● General knowledge of MS Excel applications● General knowledge of sales and customer service procedures● Basic knowledge of marketing procedures● Basic knowledge of material movement tracking software

Skills:● Advanced skill in practicing safe work habits● Advanced skill in communicating and building positive rapport with customers● General skill in computer use and related applications● General skill level in English composition and conversation; Additional language preferred● General skill level in math● General skill level in use of business machines● General skill level in typing (accurate at 30 wpm)● General skill level in organization/orderliness and establishing priorities● General skill in defusing an agitated or confrontational person● Basic skill in use of CRM software● Basic skill in providing regular team member recognition

Extent of Supervision:A person in this position operates under general supervision and follows routine procedures independently, managing and carrying out areas of responsibility within the scope of established goals and objectives.

Job-Specific Responsibilities:● Manages conflict or differences effectively.● Opens mail daily and assists with basic troubleshooting.● Offers administrative support to Export Sales Director and others.● Courteously answers all calls between 8 AM and 5 PM.● Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly service schedules; types memos, reports, and schedules.● Controls time sheets of Warehouse employees.● Responds to the requirements of other Branch Managers and HR department.● Supervises daily order deliveries.
