Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Raytheon Advanced Products and Solutions is seeking an experienced Sr. Mission Quality Assurance Specialist to implement and guide Mission/Quality Assurance program(s) and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout proposal and program lifecycles. The selected professional ensures that the quality of RTX suppliers, products, and processes are compliant with internal, customer, and regulatory standards. role at our Goleta, CA location.What You Will DoImplement and perform Mission/Quality Assurance Specialist responsibilities as a member of a program team or Integrated Product Team (IPT) including Quality Systems Assurance, Supplier Quality, and Hardware Quality.Supplier visits, Source Inspections, and FAI review per AS9102.Review and provide Quality support and updates on purchase orders including Statement of Work, Quality notes, revisions, and other items as applicable.Chair the Material Review Board, working with cross-functional teams to disposition and root-cause investigation, corrective and preventive actions.Participate in document and drawing reviews, approvals, and verifications.Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.Regularly participate in manufacturing reviews and supplier technical reviews.Perform and support Quality Management System audits.Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on Six Sigma, Lean practices and other critical thinking improvement methods and resources.Implement projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.Establish customer relations and communications processes.Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.Ability to work in a lab environment.Qualification You Must HaveTypically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of engineering experience.Working and auditing experience with a Quality Management System including ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.Working experience with Supplier Quality, Hardware Quality, and Quality Systems Assurance tasks.Working experience with drawings/specs and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Working experience with Nonconforming Material Boards and/or Failure Review Boards (MRB/FRB).Working experience performing quality inspections, test witnessing, and preparing and presenting end item data packages.Working experience with Corrective Action Systems and Six-Sigma Resources.Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We PreferExperience with factory systems and software (e.g. PRISM, SAP, and Windchill).Experience with risk & opportunity management, assessment, mitigation, and capture.Working experience with J-Std-001/IPC-A-610.Working experience with First Article Inspections per AS9102.Provide area/program direction to assure quality tasking is accomplished within budget, on time and as defined in planning.Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent.American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer or Auditor.Certified and/or formal ISO9001 and or AS9100 Lead Auditor training.Working knowledge of supplier corrective action requests.Demonstrated ability to effectively work alone and in a team environment, including customers and government representatives.Thorough written/verbal presentation skills.Through working experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.What We OfferWhether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
