Commercial Client ManagerHouston, TX, USAReq #208Tuesday, July 30, 2024Job Summary:Responsibility for the management of a complex loan and deposit portfolio, including cross-selling Bank products and services. Manages client risk and adherence to bank requirements. Responsible for representing and promoting Veritex Community Bank in the Commercial Middle Market segment.Responsibilities and Duties:Maintain a profitable loan and deposit portfolio by developing relationships with current clients and identifying new clients for the bank.Interview current and prospective customers to determine needs and ensure they are provided with the appropriate products and services.Call on clients to deepen relationships and proactively own, respond to, uncover and anticipate future needs, roadblocks or risks and expectations.Introduce solutions to clients in building and strengthening an effective portfolio.Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly loan reports to detect and resolve any circumstances or situations that represent a potential risk or loss to the bank.Facilitate and oversee the timely and accurate input of all data, specifically as it relates to borrower financial data.Identify deviations from agreed upon performance and negotiate remedial action; obtain internal approval for action and document accordingly.Communicate frequently with assigned clients to obtain information needed to evaluate changes in the asset value and operational/financial performance.Provide guidance on process improvements, as well as provide oversight to junior members of the portfolio team.Serve as a representative of the bank and actively participate in community activities.Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential.Job Skills and Qualifications:5+ years of lending/credit experience.Excellent communication skills required for major contact with customers, executive management, and the public often involving difficult negotiations and requiring skill and resourcefulness in maintaining goodwill toward the Company.Business development, customer relations, and decision-making skills essential.Demonstrates advanced credit skills; able to structure all types of credit deals.Formal credit training required.Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent relevant experience required.Must have thorough knowledge of bank policies and procedures.Valid state driver's license, proof of insurance and available transportation.Company Overview:Truth in Texas Banking.
