Responsibilities
Follow Company Dining Policy and Procedures and ensure compliance among all department personnel.Responsible for purchasing all dining food and non-food items, achieving 95% DSSI ordering compliance.Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies.Utilize company standard recipes for meal production.Ensure food is served at proper temperatures and portion sizes to maintain food safety and palatability.Offer residents’ prescribed diets when applicable.Drive high satisfaction by providing residents with choice, dignity, and independence in dining.Develop and implement operating and cleaning instructions/procedures for the department.Perform Pre-meal Dining Stand-Up with service staff to review daily menu details.Adhere to all company and local, state, and county health department regulations; act as the community’s dietary representative for inspections and ensure compliance.Ensure dining areas are clean and safely operating; complete monthly Self Sanitation audits.Interview, manage, train, hire, discipline, and terminate dining staff personnel as needed.Oversee scheduling of food service personnel to maintain compliance with labor budget.Qualifications
3+ years of previous Food Service experience required.Management experience is a plus.Serv Safe and/or other required local, county, or state certifications.Ability to switch tasks quickly and often.Positive and professional attitude with clear and respectful direction.Pride in the quality and presentation of food and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.Generous patience and ability to communicate effectively with diverse personalities.Additional Information
