Align seeks a Workplace Technology Project Manager with strong IT solution design, build-out and relocation experience working within Align’s Workplace Technology business based out of our Ashburn, VA office. This person will work on projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic, including DC, Virginia and the Philadelphia Areas. This candidate will design telecom rooms & user spaces for new build & renovated retail facilities in coordination with other trades. This is an ideal opportunity for a PM that has some retail banking industry experience. The Project Manager will manage the delivery of Workplace Technology projects, which will include maintaining accurate control of all resources and activities to ensure successful engagements.This person will have the opportunity to work with and build upon a great team while continuing our track record of success. The appropriate candidate for this role must be able to effectively deliver the following:Hands-on project management for the design and build-out of the IT and IT related components for office construction projectsProviding outstanding customer service, help build client relationships and ensure successful project deliveryExhibiting exceptional communication and leadership skillsAdditional Position Details:

The Project Manager will be a hybrid role working mostly remotely, but will report to our Ashburn, VA office; however, this person will be required to travel to client locations in the Mid Atlantic area, including Washington DC, Virginia and Philadelphia.This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, paid training, performance-based bonuses, and incentives for expanding and scaling our business.Responsibilities

Responsible for all levels of engagement proposal development, pricing, client administration, resourcing, adherence to profit margin outlined as part of the proposal, risk management through project delivery and supervisory oversight of delivery teamApplies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope.Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity.Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.Communicate structured cabling standards to partners, stakeholders and lines of business. Participate in project-related interviews and discovery with lines of business and other technology design team members. Translate business requirements into functional technology requirements.Must adhere to design standards and global design processes and proceduresInterfaces with general contractors, mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering, architectural firms, telecommunication sub-contractors, and AV/security integrators throughout the design and build process.Oversee general contractors (GC) and telecom cabling contractor activities, providing direction to address site-specific construction issues.Participate in design coordination and construction meetings with the appropriate internal and external resources.Knowledge of typical construction milestones, durations, and schedule logic related to technology and real estate driven build-outs.Must provide quality assurance throughout the entire, end to end, project lifecycle. Participate in on-site walk-thru’s and construction turn-over milestones related to shell, room, and production ready.The ability to put together coordinated drawings sets (schematic/design development/bid/construction) and specification documents inclusive of floor layouts, outlet numbering, elevations, labelling details, wiring schematics, pull schedules, etc.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or an IT-related field is desiredStrong presentation, consultative, solution development, project management, and IT infrastructure design experience and the ability to provide active technical leadership on large-scale enterprise and SMB office workplace technology transformation projectsDeep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, resilience, or performance assessmentsDrives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the productBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, related field and or technical training.A minimum of five years’ experience preparing structured cabling designs – primary focus on user space, telecom room design, security/AV, and tenant fit-out.Proficient with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook.Strong background in IT service delivery role (i.e. engineering support for projects).Has participated in design and/or implementation of major IT projects.Conversant with the English language. Proficiency in other languages is desirable.Willingness to travel – estimated at 10%.Preferred Experience

Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is preferred.Familiarity with Revit and Visio is desirable.Varied experience in multi-vendor cabling, connecting hardware, cabinet, rack, power strip solutions.Knowledge of Wi-Fi, audio visual and security infrastructure cabling systems.Experience in hierarchical network design strategies (i.e. WAN, Core, Aggregation, etc.).Working competence with modifying designs to meet customer-driven requirements and to accommodate unique installation challenges.Client interfacing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management. Candidate should have experience operating with colleagues across different time zones with a flexible approach to working hours.About Align
