ANSER values collaboration, integrity, and initiative and we are client focused in all that we do.JOB DESCRIPTION:ANSER is seeking an Assistant Country Director to support our work with Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA). The Assistant Country Director will manage all aspects of the United States - UAE Security Cooperation (SC) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. These tasks include:Coordinate daily activities between U.S. defense agencies, U.S. defense industry, U.S. Government reading and UAE militaryDevelop Congressional Notifications for FMS casesOrchestrate action on FMS programs to advance the US-UAE air force relationshipMaintain strong relationships with key authorities from U.S. and UAE Defense agencies, ministerial-level organizations, and military componentsEvent planning for Dubai Air Show and other trade eventsTrack progress and efficacy of UAE FMS casesLead program management reviews and delegations to UAEHost foreign partners for U.S. visitsTrack correspondence between USAF and UAE Air Force and Air DefenseCompose written responses to UAE inquiriesEngage with UAE Embassy in Washington DC20% domestic and international travelEDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Required:A minimum of five years of professional experience with either the U.S. Air Force or DoD international relationsThree years of experience with USAF Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and utilizing standard computer applicationsProject or Program Management ExperienceExperience with DoD acquisition policies, laws, regulations, and guidanceMust be comfortable working in the Middle East and foreign travelPreferred:Two years of Middle East or UAE experienceEvent planning experienceExperience with F-16, C-17, and C2 systemsWorking knowledge of the CENTCOM regionKnowledge of USG interagencyExperience working with OSD, DSCA or SAF/IAAbility to provide strategic planning, policy, resourcing, and implementation approachesOutstanding writing and speaking skills
