Position Summary:Coordinates and manages financial operations for the Community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring the proper implementation of sound internal controls; interfacing with the Executive Director and the Department Directors to effectively manage the budget and help identify financial areas which may need attention; identify and implement procedures which will enhance the fiscal operations of the Community; generation and maintenance of accurate financial statements and accounting records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Oversees the recruitment function of the community from job postings, advertising, interviewing and tracking applications.Oversees gathering and sending of employee paperwork and/or information to PEO.Assists managers with interpretation of the Team Member Handbook and other rules and regulations.Coordinates with PEO as necessary.Oversees orientation of new Team Members, including review of the Team Member Handbook, benefits, tax forms, training of safety procedures, etc.Coordinates the processing of payroll and employee benefits, and the payment of insurance, real estate taxes and related reporting requirements.Prepares and monitors all monthly billing and collection processes utilizing established policies, procedures and tracking systems.Oversees cash controls including the depositing and posting of cash receipts and implementing and monitoring controls over petty cash.Monitors and oversees the processing of accounts payable.Ensures appropriate assignment of departmental expenses and supporting documentation is executed and maintained.Prepares and enters journal entries and maintains appropriate sub schedules for Balance Sheet accounts.Processes the monthly financial statements and other Management reports.Assists the Executive Director in the preparation of a monthly operations and financial analysis.Maintains resident, vendor, employee personnel and financial accounting files.Prepares and submits monthly sales tax reports and payments.Assists in the preparation of the annual financial budget, annual audit schedules, tax reports, and any Local, State or Federal required reports.Interfaces with residents on billing/collection issues, Resident Agreement, and contract reviews.Supports and participates in Masterpiece (i.e. assists with feedback groups, assists in new initiatives, encourages residents and acts as their “cheerleader”).Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality).Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities:Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members.

Educational Requirements and Experience:Bachelors’ degree in Business or Accounting with three years experience as an Accountant or Office Manager required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Language Ability:Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, speaking the primary language of the residents.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
