Directs and controls parts inventory operations for the organization to maximize return on investment through parts sales growth.
Job Duties:
Manages inventory through purchases, transfers and returns to achieve defined financial and performance goals.
Manages OEM and Vendor performance based rebate/bonus programs to achieve maximum financial return
Maximizes use of all order discount programs
Collaborates with Product Support Management in setting objectives and ordering strategy to execute the aftermarket business plan for West Side
Along with the Product Support Managers and Parts Managers develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction as well as Parts Department efficiencies
Facilitates the execution of parts advertising, marketing and promotional programs to grow parts sales for the organization
Collaborates with the Dealer Parts Management group to analyze purchasing history and recommended changes to inventory stocking levels
Coordinates and audits the annual physical inventory process
Participates in and manages to West Side’s Safety Program
Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge:
5+ years of experience in parts sales, inventory management or parts department management
Excellent understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations
Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information related to parts inventory management
Familiar with John Deere and competitive parts
Proven ability to lead and inspire others
Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
Excellent customer relationship skills
Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet and applications
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per the company policy
Ability to travel within assigned territory and work flexible hours
