KSE is committed to providing world-class sports and entertainment for both live and broadcast audiences.Position SummaryThe Academy Player Support Manager will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of player welfare and support services for the Colorado Rapids Academy players.Examples of work performedResponsible for ensuring Colorado Rapids Academy programming is conducted in compliance with all KSE, Club, US Soccer and MLS risk management requirements including SafeSport initiatives.Manage the Homestay program:Annual review of Homestay program policies and procedures with Legal, Risk management and HR departments;Inventory management – procure new homestay hosts, manage current hosts and obtain best practices from former hosts;Homestay families – home visit and meetings to determine suitability to host player;Player meeting and assessment for suitability for homestay program;Provide and request completion of all appropriate paperwork from host and player family, process background checks and ensure appropriate paperwork on file with host family, player family & human resources;Support transition of player to host family including player and host family orientation;Ongoing welfare checks with host family, player and player family;Collaborate with Academy staff, player family and host family on renewal process;Execute Homestay events such as host appreciation nights and open houses.Develop and coordinate mechanism for connecting Academy players to support services related to psychological, academic and other personal needs.Develop, assess, and manage program for the delivery of life skills sessions for Academy players.Coordinate Academy staff education related to player welfare issues.Coordinate schedule of a parent education program for the Academy.Work with Academy staff and Head of School to ensure effective operation of academic programming.Liaise with Safeguarding department on any welfare and safeguarding concerns and reporting.Ensure effective communication of any Academy player welfare issues with relevant Academy technical and operations staff.Work closely with First / Second Team Player Support Manager in overlapping education, welfare or support areas.Assist Assistant Director of Player Personnel with any other duties as assigned.This description is a summary only and is describing the general level of work being performed; it is not intended to be all-inclusive.
