Company DescriptionThe Bilingual Materials Manager is responsible for cross-functional collaboration across departments to oversee the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies during each phase of order fulfillment. This role will ensure inventory levels are maintained for raw material, work in process, and finished goods.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain safety, quality, and production; plan schedule and assign workload.Coordinate job schedule with Operations Planner to align with customer needs.Responsible for the selection, development, training, cross-training, and supervising of all hourly personnel reporting to this position.Responsible for inventory accuracy of raw materials and finished goods. Establish cadence and rhythms for processes such as cycle counts to validate data integrity in the system.Perform investigations to determine root causes for inventory discrepancies and trigger actions to eliminate and prevent future instances.Ensure all receiving activities are conducted properly and in a timely manner.Establish processes and Key Performance Indicators to ensure compliance with accounts payables to vendors.Ensure inventory and supplies are received properly in the system.Own communication and interaction with the Supply Chain and Production Control teams to ensure materials are delivered on time for production.Establish inventory management strategies to support inventory fulfillment while managing inventory cost.Work with Purchasing to request production consumables and maintain min/max levels.Lead shipping and warehouse groups to drive safety, quality, and productivity.Monitor production lines and implement productivity, quality, and cost improvement ideas.Communicate with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments to meet a common goal.Analyze material costs, review labor hours, and establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommend overtime, request additional employees, or reduce workforce as necessary.Communicate company policies and programs to employees and maintain disciplinary and safety records. Investigate accidents and take necessary action.Follow up on any intercompany transfers, communicate materials needing to be received or shipped, document the transfer, and record in the system.Ensure all records, reports, and files related to employees, including attendance and evaluations, are maintained.Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to meet performance standards while maintaining satisfactory employee relations.Unique special projects or additional duties as designated by the Plant Manager.QualificationsHS Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business, or related field is highly desired.Must be bilingual (fluent) in both English and Spanish.A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry along with a strong background and experience in logistics, production control planning, warehouse, and inventory management.Ability to read and comprehend documents including but not limited to policy manuals, safety rules/programs, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and simple correspondence. Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations is required.Ability to perform general mathematical calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and statistics. Some positions may require advanced mathematics.Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. In addition, the ability to solve problems involving multiple variables in a standard situation is required.Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.Ability to work with a diversified workforce and manage a workforce through lean implementation.Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment and able to change direction easily to accommodate the situation at hand, while maintaining a positive attitude.Self-organizer with meticulous hands-on habits and keen attention to detail.Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and team-oriented skills to work well with the rest of the organization and build relationships with suppliers.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Ability to understand and execute the company's mission and values.Maintain a high degree of ethical standards and trustworthiness.Exhibit an open mindset when approaching challenges and conflicts.Ability to think and adapt to a rapidly changing environment and demands.May be required to use power hand tools while performing kaizens.May be required to drive a forklift.Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work, and play.
